About Deb Simon

deb simon photo With an eye for composition, Deb’s photographs snap with impact and incredible detail rounding out her instantly recognizable style. As an added challenge, her subjects are often uncooperative exotic animals and domestic dogs and pets.

Deb has won multiple awards, including 2007 Focus Photo Dayton Ohio Photographer of the Year. Her images have been published in a number of calendars and magazine covers, and have been used by various entities including the National Audubon Society. The Columbus Zoo declared Deb to be, “The best tiger photographer we’ve seen in over 20 years”. Her work has also earned her membership in the juried Tri-State Arts Association. In 2009 the Cincinnati Zoo began using her images for publicity, and in a joint project with artist Kelli Swan, a horse drawing utilizing Deb’s reference photos was selected by the Louisville Hyatt Regency Hotel for their prestigious 2009 Kentucky Derby commemorative gifts.

This year one of Deb’s photos was selected to represent the Cincinnati Zoo as their 2009 Christmas Holiday card. Also, look for a two page color spread of Deb’s photos in the 2010 winter issue of the National Doberman Pincher Magazine featuring rescue dogs to promote adoption of homeless Dobermans.

In her free time Deb enjoys life with her Dobermans, and volunteering for a Doberman Rescue and as a photographer for the Cincinnati Zoo. Her images are only available through this website and a few select gallery showings. Please feel free to contact Deb with any questions comments or requests.
